Hi Wendy,
Just read your posting and I, too would like a copy of your report sent to me at the above email address. My husband and i are going to NZ this year for the month of March. first, and probably only trip, so your report should prove invaluable!
One question: can I use american appliances in NZ or do I need a special adaptor for the plug? Thanks a lot. Carol

PS
Also, we have no NZ money as of yet. We will be flying directly to Christchurch the minute we land in Auckland from New York. Should I try to get some NZ currency here in US before we depart? Where are the best places to exchange money in NZ? And will they exchange Am Express checks? Thanks again, Carol

wendy- from the looks of the above, you are going to get a milllion requests over the next 3 years for your report. Why don't you just post it here? Break it up into segments and post them as consecutive replies here. They will stick together (unlike separate posts) and all can read them!

Hi Wendy, I too would love to have a copy of your report. We spent two weeks in NZ this past summer and are planning a return month long trip. For Carol, We found that we were able to get very good rates at the banks in the airport terminal and they took any form of money that we had including AMEX travellers checks. Your ATM card works well too for quick cash.

HI, I don't know if I'm missing something on how send the trip report to those of you who asked for it but now that email addresses don't show I can't send to the last 4 people that have asked me for it. Is there a way to reply direct to these people. Wendy

Wendy- My husband and I leave a month from today for a 4 week trip to NZ and would love to receive your report. We willhave a car and are a bit overwhelmed over the possibilities. We are trying to book places to stay from here, but have 7 days after Queenstown unbooked, wneh we were planning to "wing" it and wander along the southern coast through Dunedin and back up to christchurch, where we will fly to Napier and get another dar for 2 weeks. Are we missing out by not going into the iterior of south island? Aside from the Tranzalpine train to Greymouth, we will probably be mostly on the coasts. I'd really love to get your report. My email address: [email protected]
MAny thanks!!

Hi, Yes I do have some thoughts. If you are going to drive alot and explore I would not go the motorhome route. Roads are very narrow and twisty and then you have to park a big vehicle somewhere. Go to a small car and then just do the B&B, cabins or hostels. I just sent you the report. Wendy

Wendy--
You can post your report in portions...break it up and keep replying to yourself--you can do it on this thread and that way those who prefer not to reveal their email can get all your great info.

Just bringing this back up top. I have sent out so many of these reports and keep getting back positive feedback that I feel I can help most New Zealander travelers. Wendy

Wendy,
We are headed to NZ for our honeymoon and plan to visit both North & South Islands... unfortunately we have only 15 days. I would love to have a copy of your report, and welcome any other advice on must-see destinations.
