I'm thinking I should re-post in the Lounge. More people probably look there.

northie Feb 9th, 2016 03:15 PM

any chance of changing the GTG to Thursday 24th

laurieco Feb 9th, 2016 04:01 PM

We get to Melbourne on the 24th but we get in very early in the morning. The 24th would be okay with me, but I'm not sure Clifton can make it that day.

CounterClifton Feb 9th, 2016 09:38 PM

Not sure yet about the 24th. My last day to get any work done before the holiday hits. I'd definitely have to be back in the outer burbs by 3pm, regardless, so I'd have to catch a train out of the CBD by 1:30 to be sure. I'll have to play it by ear, I think.

northie Feb 10th, 2016 03:09 PM

its ok Clifton-lets leave it to the Friday 25th

CounterClifton Feb 10th, 2016 04:43 PM

Northie, are you sure? Don't put yourself in a bind. I can fit something in and you all can keep going if I need to leave a bit earlier if the 24th would be better.

Hopefully, as we're leaving on holiday the week after and will have finished our biggest event of the year the prior weekend, I'm *hoping* I don't have a lot to do, work-wise. Some shops may try to get some last minute orders in before we close for the month was the only concern.

Welcome to Melbourne Laurieco
Somehow I missed this. If you are at the Marroit you are two buildings from my office.
I could meet you in the foyer at any time suitable to you today, just let me know -would take me two minutes to get there
Re the GTG tomorrow, Northie and Clifton are quite correct that Chinatown would be the best place for lunch. Did I see a suggestion for the Dragon Boat (or am I just imagining it??)
Cheers

Hi MissBB
Yes, Melbourne is at the Dragon Boat - details in the Lounge. I've just topped it for you, Laurieco & others who may be coming to either.

We had so much fun today! MissB, sorry I didn't see your post about being right near the hotel! No one ever responds on this forum so I stopped looking here. In any case, it was wonderful meeting you, mr and mrs northie and CounterClifton today! Mr laurieco and I really enjoyed it.

Glad y'all got to see each other!

See each other? I was looking at that soft shelled crab. ;)

It was great meeting you laurie and Mr Laurie and seeing everyone again.

MissB99 Mar 25th, 2016 04:38 PM

It was a excellent get together, good (inexpensive) food, friendly company and interesting conversation covering a breadth of topics. Weather was great, altogether a most enjoyable lunch.
Great to catch up with everyone. Thanks to Northie for organising/booking and to Laurieco for providing the impetus.
Trust you are enjoying the wines, scenery, attractions of the Yarra Valley.
Happy Easter!!
