Is St. Kilda Worth Seeing?

We have some time in Melbourne and were thinking of taking a tram to St. Kilda for lunch and shopping. Is this worthwhile and can anyone suggest a good restaurant for lunch?????

Definitely worth the trip as easily one of the more charming suburbs.

St. Kilda's a great spot! I would definately try to spend a couple of hours there. If you can, go on a Sunday. There is an artist's market along the Esplanade...I bought a really cool painting from a Polish immigrant and her prices were great.

If you are into cakes, wander along Acland Street - you can put on weight just looking in the windows.

Try Donavans for lunch.
It is right on the beach just behind Luna Park. (Amusement Park)
St Kilda Ackland Steet is great for cakes & coffee.
Lots of good cafe's.
Shopping wise nothing else really.
A lovely walk along the foreshore towards Station Pier through the parks is always relaxing. Enjoy the Sunday market.
