Is it really going to rain all weekend in Sydney?

Hi all,
We will be arriving in Sydney this Friday, Nov 19, after a long wait. However, I just checked the weather forecast and surprise, it's supposed to rain Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Guess how long we are in Sydney? Three nights!! So, since there is nothing I can do about the weather, will it still be enjoyable walking around Circular Quay, the Rocks, the Botanical gardens and Manly? Or, should we plan to do inside activities? Thanks for any input........I need something to focus on!

No its not going to rain all weekend. You must be confusing the forecast for sydney,oz with sydney NS.
Try

for the official sydney forecast.

Saturday and sunday will be 75 F with sunny periods.Great weather for my cricket game.

However the southerly change on Friday will bring showers. Go to the opera house on friday night. Do the opera house tour and indigenous art tour at the art gallery and your souvenir shopping on Friday.

Hi
We were in Sydney for a week in October and it rained most of the time. We had good rain gear and did OK. Didn't see as much as we had planned. Manly is definitely worth it. We stayed near the Circular Quay and the Rocks so spent lots of time exploring the area. The Aquarium is definitely a good indoor spot and if you enjoy wandering around retail areas, the downtown is a maze of shops and food courts. There are lots of shopping malls - be sure to go to the QVB - and they are all connected mostly underground. There hare harbor tours you can take so you can at least get an idea of what how large and sprawled out Sydney is. Oh, great market days Sat. and Sun in the Rocks! Enjoy!

We've been in drought so long that we welcome rain, but it can be inconvenient for tourists.

I was planning to go away for the weekend, so that's a negative. John's playing cricket on Sunday, so that reduces the chance of rain. Just bring a raincoat, and don't be put off!

Enjoy our city :)

Thanks, we can't wait to visit! The weather report has shaped up a bit although, John, I like your forecast the best. Plus, it will be better than the cold we have been experiencing here in Massachusetts. Raincoats are packed, just in case! Thanks again for your responses!
Sydney, here we come!
