Is 4 Days in Sydney Enough Time?

We are headed to Sydney as part of a 2 week vacation in March. Is 4 days enough time to spend in Sydney? We'll be arriving at 8am on a Sunday morning and planned to fly out Thursday to our next destination. Also, we want to include one day trip outside the city to either the Blue Mountains or Hunter Valley (Wine Country). Do we need more time in Sydney? We would really appreciate your helpful suggestions! Thank you!!

Four days should be perfect. However, if you are arriving at 8 A.M. from a long international flight, your activities that first day will have to be planned carefully to deal with your jet lag and fatigue. In other words, sedentary activities should be replaced with more active ones where you are not just sitting on a tour bus but walking and moving about.

Have fun! Sydney is a fabulous city.

4 days is good. I went for 5 days and could have cut out some stuff.

Should be fine. We were in Sydney for three days and then headed out to the surrounding area of Jervis Bay for a couple of days. One thing you might want to check on since you'll have several nights is taking in a show at the Sydney Opera House. You can check shows on line and even book tickets.
