I was quoted - were you?

The new Fodors Australia 2009 is out and apparently I've been quoted again this year.

Whose name can we add to the list?

Me too Stormbird - just got the e-mail.

Talk about a red letter day - yesterday I also received a prize for a competition I entered a while back (you know the old in 25 words or less type of competition) - first prize was a trip for two to the premier of James Bond Quantum of Solace in Sydney - VERY disappointed I didn't win that anyway, had quite forgotten all about it when a box arrived for me yesterday. It seems I was a runner up!

On opening it was a very flash silver briefcase and inside set in foam (just like the gun cases James would have) was a bottle of Vodka, a bottle of the perfume that sponsored the competition and a gorgeous silver martini shaker. Of course, included was the recipe for the latest Bond Martini - shaken, not stirred, of course.

I was quite a bit chuffed yesterday. Topped off the evening with a lovely long skype call to our son in Europe. It was a great day!

Me too - wonder how you find the quote.

stormbird Dec 20th, 2008 01:33 PM

I saw in the lounge that Katie said if you email her she will try to look up your quote for you!

Melnq8 Dec 20th, 2008 02:02 PM

Bokhara2 -

You can usually locate the quotes by going into Amazon, pulling up the book, clicking on 'look inside' then searching for 'word of mouth' (you have to be registered with Amazon to do this I think).

However, the publisher hasn't released these pages to Amazon for the Australia 2009 book, so that won't work.

I was able to find some partial quotes by going to the Fodor's book site, clicking on the binocular icon under Browse and Search, and then typing in 'word of mouth'. It pulled up several partial quotes - you might recognize yours that way.

Or you could contact Katie.
