HOw to maximize my 2 dasy in Fiji?

I'm lucky enough to have a day and a half stop over in Fiji on my way to NZ.... a real bonus!
I arrive at 3:30 am one morning ( IN Januay, very hot, I understand) and depart at supper time the next day.
SO I really want to see as much of Fiji as possible. I may never get that far again. I don't want to stay on a beach on any island, or snorkel ( I can do that at home) but want to see as much as I can.
I'd appreciate any ideas for tours.
Somethink like a full day cruise for the first day to see as many islands as possible. The the second day, a half tour of what? a Jeep your?
If you only had 2 days to see the best, what would it be?

You'll need a hotel at 4 am, I think, so why not check out www.beachsideresortfiji.com-they have free airport transfers at any hour and can book a car or car/driver for you, a island hop on the Yasawa Flyer for the day or a cruise out to Castaway or any one of several islands. You could also check out www.fijiislandstravel.com and email Margaret for some assistance and compare prices. Both these establishments will assist you, I'm certain. They are very nice people and weve used them several times. You could also hire a car from Beachside resort and drive yourself up to Rakiraki and get a boat over to Nananu-ira island to see Brittany Speers new house! Good luck.

Lyndie, thanks so much for the help. YOu have made some excellent suggestions and have really helped to lead me in the right direction. I will email Margaret for some personal help. It will be great to have a name of someone, so I can ask questions about tours.
Thanks again.

kodi-you are most welcome! Happy to help. Margaret and Tom have been in business for a very long time and a truly lovely people. Let us know what you decide to do and please post when you return home, with your comments. Fiji is a very relaxed place and although you won't see much of it, it still will give you a taste! Best of luck!
