deciding between the sokala villas or reflections on rarotonga. any thoughts?<BR><BR>also, in aitutaki, anyone ever stay at are tamany resort?<BR><BR>thanks in advance

I've only seen the outside of the Sokola Villas so I can't tell you too much about them other than they sit at what I consider the better part of the Muri Beach area.<BR><BR>I did receive a couple of brief tours of one of the Reflections units and have to say it was like something out of "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" - Absolutely to die for. I do prefer the beach around the Palm Grove a lot more, but the snorkeling in the Reflections area is supposedly superb. I think the scenery is prettier at the Sokola Villas but I find it hard to imagine a more luxurious unit than that at Reflections.<BR><BR>Are Tamanu is a nice place on what I think is the very BEST stretch of beach on Aitutaki - far better than the water around the Pearl Beach. <BR><BR>If you are interested, I've written some trip reports on Epinions at:<BR><BR>http://www.epinions.com/user-lordbalfor<BR><BR>and posted photos on Webshots at:<BR><BR>http://community.webshots.com/user/lordbalfor<BR><BR>I don't think you can really go wrong with any of these 3 places.<BR><BR>Ken

Ken, Lord Balfor... you have made some wonderful sites, well worth taking an hour or 2 to look at.

We are leaving for the Cook Islands in one week. When will you be travelling there? We are staying at the Are Tamanu Resort and the Pearl Beach Resort. I will have more feedback when I return.

Ken - your statement about "Refections" interested me. We have been to the Cook Islands a few years ago and would like to go again. We are mainly interested in snorkeling and where we stayed we were not too pleased with that aspect. How would I find "Reflections" on the net?

Ken - thank you for the information. A bit pricey but will keep an eye on it - maybe the price will come down or somewhere a special may pop up. I have enjoyed your sites immensely. By the way, we are neighbors of yours in Bellingham.
