Hong Kong bound in March

I am interested in day trips from Hong Kong by ground or boat, what places do you suggest. I would not mind spending the night. Also good food and shopping spots in Hong Kong.

The best shopping place in HK is Causeway Bay. You can find large and small department stores and shopping malls. Go the the Times Square. It is one of the newest and largest shopping complex. The restaurants in Times Square are quite good but not cheap. Tell me your budget and preference so that I can make some recommendation to you.

I am going to HK in March also I have been there 3 times. the last time was 3 yrs ago I like Stanley market but I have heard it has gotten very touristy an there is some junk there a nice day trip is 1 of the out islands there isnt a lot of thinks to do there, also Aberdeen is nice the junk boats are nice to look at also Nathan rd has a lot of shops but also some venders set up stalls and you can bargain with them. Have a drink in the lobby of the Regent Hotel and Tea at the Peninsula. I have never been to Macau but I am going this time just to see what it is like. I hope you enjoy your trip.

If you mean day excusion, Macau is the place. There are more old buildings/relics and is very European (Portugese). It's also cheaper than Hong Kong. There are also casinos. It's about 1 hour something by boat from HK from the ferry pier in Shun Tak centre above the Sheung Wan MTR station.

What is the best place to go to avoid fakes? I was considering getting some Louis Vuitton luggage and not sure whether it is all fake. Also, how close are the fakes? Thanks

Each time I go to Hong Kong I take myself off to
Temple Street so that I can buy a fake Louis Vuiton.
Believe me, I have walked into a Louis Vuiton store
and none of the salespeople have every picked the
difference!! If you want to avoid being sold a fake
your only option is to buy it from the Louis Vuiton store. There is one in the Peninsula Hotel and another store that I know of in the Landmark at Central on Hong Kong Island.

I suggest you to go to Lan Tau Island.
It has beautiful beach and bbq sites.
Ferries departure from Central
(Outlying Islands Ferry Terminal)
Lamma Island has nice seafood restaurants as well.
I went there when I was really small so I can't remember the name of the restaurant
but islands are good places to visit to escape from the hassle in hk

We are visiting in May. Any advice on good mid-priced hotels preferably where we can have a "family room" to have our two adult children with us rather than in separate rooms.

Also where is the best place to shop for inexpensive summer clothes for males and females.

We have four days - best sightseeing?
