Hobart now has a replica of Douglas Mawson's hut, which is on the waterfront as is Salamanca, which was originally warehouses.
It is also home to MONA, a world class art gallery. There is ferry from the water front. Hobart itself is well preserved and has lovely buildings and it a far nicer and scenic city than Sydney. And like Sydney it is right on the waterfront. |

From Constituon Dock you can walk to Jackman & McRoss, a really good bakery at Battery Point which is a very cute part of Hobart. It feels a bit Irish. |
