Daughter and husband (28 yrs old) living in Sydney - need ideas for gift certificates movies plays etc
My 28 yr old daughter and her husband have been living in Sydney since August. I would like to buy them some gift certificates for restaurants, plays, lectures, etc but really have no idea where to start.
She is very much into wildlife conservation and environmental issues. They both enjoy eating out very much. Any suggestions as to where I should turn would be much appreciated!

You could buy them an "Entertainment Book" which has vouchers for discounts on restuarants, accommodation, tourist activities eg harbour cruises. Check the website to see if it has anything to offer your daughter. http://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/home
Or check this web site for ideas that may appeal http://www.redballoondays.com.au/
Or the Festival of Sydney may have some events of interest

Well no real need for bedsocks downunder and though some idea of budget may help, with exchange rate at moment it's not so much of an issue
There's adopt a Koala programs at various locations where they care for them and also a Koala Hospital up Port Macquarie way about 400 km. north of Sydney and if you'd like info on that kind of stuff, I'll dig it up.

has gift tickets for ???
And then there's the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb at about $200+/head.
And if you/they see romance in the skies, have a star named!!

And for somewhere a little different, book them into http://www.australianheritagehotel.com/ , no ensuite is overcome with the luxuriousness of heritage style decor [ a room away from bridge side should be asked for]

You could buy them a book voucher for Gleebooks which is one of the best bookshops in Sydney, just google them.
Another nice gift for nature lovers in Sydney is a 1 year or 2 years subscription to National Parks and Wildlife. That provides entry to all parks and a yearly guide. You would need motor bike or car registration numbers for that so it could be a bit too complicated.
There's membership of the Australian Museum which includes invitations to talks throughout the year, membership of the Museum of Contemporary Art tends to include invitations to opening nights, or you could get a season ticket to Sydney Theatre Company or Belvoir Street Theatre, if their taste runs to theatre.
