help tickets for shows in sydney
 

i understand that the musical pricilla queen of the desert is on in sydney, what would the chances of getting tickets when we are in sydney, or is it better to buy them before we leave the uk??? we are only in sydney for 2 nights (16th and 17th august, a thursday and a friday)
also is there any other shows/musicals/plays on in sydney on these dates??

I'd be inclinded to book ahead of your arrival if you are really keen to see the show; unless you're staying at a large up-market inner city hotel, in which case the concierge may be able to procure some last minute tickets for you.

The Sydney Opera House is www.sydneyoperahouse.com - check on line for what's on and bookings.

www.mytickets.com.au has other listings for what's on in Sydney as well.

Yes, try to book before you come. Sondheim's "Company" is also on for a short season at that time. It is at the Theatre Royal and is getting good reviews. If you do decide on that, I recommend you ask for seats in the stalls rather than upstairs which is awful in that theatre.
