Helicopter Rides in Austral.

Will be in Austral in late August. I have never been on a helicopter but have always wanted to take a ride. Any good places to do so in Austral. that the board could suggest?

There are helicopter rides over the Gold Coast and hinterland. I am sure that there are plenty around to fit in with where you will be going.
Enjoy
Further to Liz's post, there are helicopter rides leaving from SeaWorld at the Gold Coast. Would be a spectacular ride over the beaches, waterways and hinterland.

You might consider taking a helicopter ride over the Great Barrier Reef. Some of my most favorite photos of Australia were taken from a helicopter over the GBR - a whole different perspective. Some GBR reef tours offer a helicopter tour as an added option which is not too costly, as the helo pad is on a barge near the floating dock. One example would be ReefWorld, offshore from the Whitsunday Islands.

I was in Sydney in Aug 2000 and took a helicopter ride with a company called Heliaust (or something like that). They were very professional and offered different kinds of rides ranging from a short as 30 minutes to as long as all day. My brother did one where they flew to him a private home in the mountains for lunch and then back. He said it was one of the best things he ever did!
