Heard of a coupon that you buy? gives discounts on hotels in NZ?

Geesh....I hate this new rule on limited amount of characters for the title....you can't even put your point across!!!

Here's my questions....A friend heard about some type of coupon that you pay up front for (the people purchased it from a travel agent) and it allows you to get discounted rates on hotels once you get over to NZ?

Anyone heard of anything like this??
thanks in advance

Or wotif.com

Or sign up for Millenium hotels emails and they will notify you of specials.

No, after looking it wasn't either of these (but thanks so much)
I think they said they got it from a travel agent. This was 3rd hand but I told my travel partners that I'd ask you guys to see if you'd heard of anything.
Thanks so much again for your input.........

I believe what you might be looking for is the "Golden Chain" voucher system. We used them when we travelled through the North Island in March 2009. They are simply not worth the effort to get them. You can obtain much better accommodation at Motels across NZ at a better rate. If I had that trip over I'd either pre-book using the internet or simply drive into an area and take the first available motel. You couldn't do any worse than staying at those on the Golden Chain list.

OK....if that's it, it sounds like a PASS!
thanks for the info.
