Great Barrier Reef

I will be staying in Port Douglas in March (I know it's not the ideal time, but I had no choice, and plans are made). I want to snorkel, probably with Wavelength. I'm dying to see fish and coral, but I'm a little nervous about seeing eels, sea snakes and octopuses. Am I likely to see many of the latter?

Fwiw, I'd say you're much more likely to see grilled octopus, but if you want to catch up on the blue-ringed variety and other creatures, suggest you google 'Port Douglas octopus' or some such. The list of potential nasties (for anywhere in Australia for that matter) may disturb some but keep in mind that countless tourists have had great times there, particularly at the 'better' times of the year.

Haha, grilled octopus sounds great. Thanks!
