Good place to go in Philippines

I've heard about a few areas here in the Philippines,
one is Boracay, in the southern part of the Islands as
well as Palawan. I am currently working here from the
US and hope to get to those two areas....you can contact
Asia International in Makati.....they are extremely
helpful in planning get aways....

I just recently traveled to Hong Kong, which they
booked for me....and had a wonderful...time.

Good Luck.

Am from the Philippines and I know Boracay is a good start but there are many others to choose from. I would suggest that you call the Philippine Tourism office in New York at 212-575-7915 and ask for Madie Guevarra or anybody who will answer.

I know you will have a good time the the Philippines.

1. Spend a Saturday evening (dinner, bar, wanderabout) in the Manila Hotel
2. Day Tour to Corrigidor Island in Manila Bay
3. 2-3 day trip and stay overnight at government lodge at Banaue, in the Rice Terraces.

Somebody suggested I take a trip to Angeles, PI. I can't find it on a map and I don't know what island it is on or anything else about it. Anybody out there know anything they could share with me? Thanks...

Angeles city is in the Island of Luzon. It's a very modest area stricken by poverty like most of the Philippines is. If you would like to know of a good place to visit while your there I wouldn't reccomend this place. I would highly reccomend Tagaytay in southern Luzon or Baguio in the northern mountain provinces.

I think that the Philipines is a great place to visit. I went to Panay Island, sonewhere in the southwest in May and although it's not modern or very developed, it's really beautiful there. The beaches are lovely and the mountains are just simply heavenly. Go to Ilo-Ilo or Miagao. The people are fantastic and friendly. If you really want to soak in the culture, you aot to be where the people are.

I've been in the Philippines, infact I toured around different islands and provinces.Boracay an island in the Visayan region is a good place to visit with i'ts white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. On the other hand,Dakak beach resort in Zamboanga and Club Paradise in Dimakya island,Palawan are also fascinating places to visit. One can enjoy scuba diving, jet skiing and much, much more.El Nido also in Palawan is an interesting place to spend your vacation. For further information about places to visit while in the Philippines please call Philippine Tourism,I think they have an office in Los Angeles.

Hello! I live here already 4 yrs., and before this time I visited the Phils. 3 months a year for a decade - my tip is: Palawan from the South up to the north - you´ll find the best of nature there.

I will be traveling to the Philipines (Manila) this April. I need advice on how to stay in contact with
people in America. Does anyone know a place that can
either rent me a cell phone or take messages for me
(besides my hotel) during the day? Thanks

I have been in Angeles City this summer and by that time I rented a motorbike to go around Mt. Pinatubo.
It was very exiting and I really enjoyed it.
I tried some of the motorbike rental companies there and for me the best motorbikes with the best and friendliest service was ROADRUNNER MOTORBIKE RENTAL
located beside Sky Trax Disco in Fields Av.
If you go there try it out and ride around the very famos Mt.Pinatubo I´m sure you will enjoy it.

Angeles City is not any of the more then 7000 islands it´s a City 80 km north of Manila. May be you have heart already about Mt.Pinatubo and his eruption.Angeles is located about 80 km north west of Pinatubo. Now you will find it easely in any Philippin maps.
If you have some other questions I will help you as best as I can.I`m living here and I think I know many different things about here.
I`m looking forward to get a message from you.
See you
Hans

Hi,
Angeles City is about 55 miles North of Manila. It's the former site of the U.S. Air Force Base, Clark Air Force Base. Easy to get to, kind of hard to leave. I was just passing thru one day and it took me 14 years to leave! Was ther when Marcos got tossed out and when Mt. Pinatubo popped.I reccomend only a week or so there, then I'd continue North to Baguio City, and from there to the Banawe Rice Terraces, it's a MUST!!! Have fun.

I would appreciate information on good, decent modest priced accomadations for Tagaytay or Bagio.
Also any other recommendations regarding these areas, restaurants, entertainment, etc. I will be traveling with companion, so emphasis is on romantic. Thanks :)
