Ghost Tours

We are going to take the evening ghost tour at Port Arthur. Would it be worth going on others as well -- e.g., at the Penitentiary Chapel and Criminal Courts in Hobart or the Quarantine Station in Manly?

We have been on the ghost tour at Port Arthur and on the one at the Quarantine Station. We have done LOTS of ghost tours in England, Australia and the U.S. and the ghost tour at Port Arthur was one of the best! If you enjoy ghost tours, definitely do the one at the Quarantine Station as well. It's a bit difficult to reach the Quarantine Station unless you have a car, however. I will say that my teenage daughter did see a ghost while on that tour and while I am a skeptic, I do believe she did see one. If you have any specific questions about either tour, I'd be glad to try to answer them.

There's also a daytime tour at the Manly Quarantine Station. Has anyone been on that and the nighttime tour so that they can compare the two?

I've done both over the years.

Both were good, interesting. The day tour makes you appreciate more the location (which is magic). At night, you feel the conditions more.

I've been on the night one and it is scary. The night one is all about setting the mood but you still get a lot of information about the sight.
