Garrick House in Port Douglas
 

I am considering booking a studio room at the Garrick House and wondered if anyone has stayed there. From their website it looks like a nice facility in a good location and the price is right. I also like the fact that there is a washer/dryer right in the room since we will probably be at the point in our trip where we will be depserate to do laundry, but I don't want to have to spend time in a laundramat. Trip Advisor had some decent reviews of it. Just wondered if anyone here has stayed there. Thanks.

Hi Bokhara, I do know it but have never stayed there. Its an older resort, I think recently refurbished. Easy walk to beach, and and not too far a walk to heart of Port Douglas Village. Not much help, am I?

Thanks to both of you! I went ahead and booked it. Older, but refurbished is fine by us - we're pretty easy to please. Especially if something is an easy walk to the beach :-)! I'll be sure to post when I get back and let you know what it was like.
