I enjoyed reading what you were able to accomplish before the accident, and I'm sorry your trip got cut short and that you got injured. It's always interesting to get insight on how emergencies like that get handled while traveling. Makes it less panic-inducing if you can envision what course of action to take.

I especially enjoyed reading about Melbourne and Sydney. What parts of the North Island were you going to visit?

I'm hoping to travel to New Zealand again in the next couple of years for work and already daydreaming about side trips I want to tack on.
