Click on "travel news" on the Fodor's website and there is a message that they have quoted us in their new Australia/S. Pacific book! Here is the list of names:

If you write to them, they'll send you the new Australia guide book or a gold guide of your choice. Can't wait to see what they quoted us as saying!

Actually, I just clicked on the top of the list of posts where it says "were you quoted?" to get to the article. and gardyloo is under Seattle, not US.

I'm shocked that you're not listed and equally surprised to see several completely unfamiliar names.

I did get a quote last year in the China guide (but no freebie, curses).

Neil you're entitled to a freebie guide for being in China. Didn't you read my post? I got mine a few months ago. You were quoted many times in China.

BTW Neil, it's the Gold edition of the China guide released this year in June.

I was shocked, too, that you, Neil, didn't get mentioned here with all your great advice. Guess they figured they couldn't put someone in BOTH guides or else they would be accused of playing favorites.

thanks so much for pointing this out- i cannot imagine i have ever contributed anything useful enough on this forum to be quoted in a book and i didn;t even bother to read the list...and then there i was in your post.

I went to the bookstore to see the Australia book and my quote was pretty tame (about Darwin and the Top End being interesting) so since we have an abundance of info on Australia, I asked for a Caribbean one and it is chock full of info.

Hi everybody... I just saw this post.

Alf, we realize that many posters stick to the Forums; I've posted a "sticky" in the forum "Word of Mouth- December" and will continue to do so every month so it's easy to spread the word.

Fodors sent me an e-mail...good thing since I hadn't been on the site for ages. Haven't been out of Canada for almost two years (except Florida) and it really is the pits!
