So glad to see someone coming over here to NZ -
if you would like, I will send you some names, addresses phones, faxes and hopefully some email addresses of lodges, etc., so you can contact them directly from wherever you are. More than happy to help, you will love it here, do you want to fish in the North Island or the South Island?? Bye for now. Marilyn |

Please go. But please refer to the literature of New Zealand, read it, especially the short stories, new and old, about life in rural areas. Don't make this a vacation, don't take a camera, don't write home. New Zealand is one of the few places left where fly fishing in remote country can give you what you dream about when you dream of fishing. It will soon be gone, and New Zealand will have little to show that it was there. Except the literature of the countryside, and the literature of strangers passing through it. It is not grand country by the Hollywood lens standards, but it is a rare place, the only one of its kind left. It's extraordinariness must remain disguised by it's ordinariness if it is to survive. New Zealanders will welcome you, and Americans have long been kind in return. It is my home. Keep it up, mate.
