Flight Auckland-Sydney
 

We will be needing a flight from Auckland to Sydney for our upcoming trip (flights to and from Sydney are on FF points). Since this is our first trip "down under" was hoping that someone with experience can advise if it is cheaper to buy the tickets on line before we leave, or in Auckland.

In most cases the earlier you book the better the deal. I always use www.webjet.com.au but there are others.

You will pay a lot more if you leave this until the last minute, you may be able to buy online on Qantas or Air NZ websites.

What is the routing on your award ticket? Is it a simple roundtrip?

If you want to fly to Australia then to NZ then home, then you probably would be able to do it all on your award ticket. You are probably allowed an enroute stopover.
