FIJI....Young & Happening resort?!?

Hello I'm looking for a resort that accept children and that has a young and fresh vibe to it. WE are in our 30's and we like to have a good time. A resort that is 4-5 stars, and has nightime entertainment. Does this exist?
Thanks for your help.

Not in Fiji it doesn't. Also, most resorts accept children only during a certain time of year.

I sort of thought that. I have been surfing the web and come to realize I might have to change my vacation plans. Thanks for your response.

We met a couple with small children that stayed at Malolo and loved it. It's probably more toward 3-4 stars, but you should check it out.

Almost all other than the very very upmarket (ie USD 2000 per day) resorts accept children all year. Fijians love children and it is an incredibly popular destination during Aust and NZ school holidays. These resorts have kids clubs and most would have some entertainment at night. If you are looking for the 5 star hotel experience you will find that on the Coral Coast - places like Outrigger, the Fijian, the Warwick. However, this is not really a very Fijian expereience - and the coral coast has awful beaches. More of a bure/fijian style resort but still with entertainment etc is Hideway - again on Coral Coast. Fiji is not renowned for nightlife. If you want good beaches go to the Yasawas - but you will not find the 4 or 5 star thing there as much. Octopus is nice on Waya island.

We love Octopus too! I think it's a 3 star resort but it's recently been refurbished. If you're looking for islands rather than mainland you could not go wrong with Octopus. We also love the Shangri-La at Sigatoka, on the Coral Coast. Have not stayed there but have used their facilities on several occasions & eaten there too. The beach there is lovely, one of the two good beaches on the coral coast. It's an excellent mainland option.

We stayed at the Outrigger on the Lagoon,(it's a pool) May 2003 and disliked the place. The beach is shallow & full of dead coral. The food was uninspiring & it's a dull place in the evenings. Good luck!
