FIJI

Is it unrealistic to plan a trip here for 9 mo's from now? I understand there was a recent coup, but is this affecting tourism and can one assume it'll be settled by the fall?
Also, if I were to combine another country (or major city) with Fiji, NZ, Oz feasible? I'd be coming from NYC but have 2 wks, possibly 2 1/2 wks.

You may want to check out the www.airpacific.com website. They fly from Los Angeles to NAN. They are a four star airline, which is higher than U.S. International airlines. There are flights from NAN to New Zealand.

If you are going during Christmas holiday or another holiday (which is what I'm thinking about) I would book early, otherwise wait a little.

Wally, where can I get a list of airline star rankings? Thanks

I'm also considering a flight on Air Pacific.

That's an excellent list (but I note they classify Air Pacific as a three-star carrier).
