Family accommodation in Hobart

Hi

We are a group of 7 - 5 adults and 2 young kids. Does anyone know of good accommodation in or around Hobart? We are considering an apartment hopefully around 200-250 Aus or some kind of farm-style cottage/ unusual accommodation which might amuse the children. It doesn't have to be in Hobart itself since we are hiring a car but somewhere within half an hours drive to the airport preferrably. Any recommendations?

You probably would be best at the Old Wool Store which is an Apartment hotel. I don't know what configurations they have with the bedrooms but I am sure that they could accommodate you all. Alternatively there are apartments at Salamanca - again do a search on that one. Either of those would be great OR you could check out a self contained cottage at Richmond ( great little village) but I will have to get back to you on the name. I stayed there and it was really lovely.

Click on "the Cottage" on this link as that would probably suit you really well. They had an indoor swimming pool too at this farm and I am sure you would love Richmond, as would the kids. The cottage had a washing machine too so everything is there for you all.

Hi. Thanks for the suggestions. I will check them out. While surfing I chanced upon this cottage style apartment - Riversdale estate. Has anyone heard of them? www.riversdaleestate.com.au

It looks quite interesting...

It is new so no, I don't know anything about them. They are out of Richmond though and not within walking distance - that is my only comment about them. Also would depend on the price.

Thanks for the comments. Richmond looks like a good stop!
