Disembark From Cruise - Can We do Day Trip To Moorea? Thoughts?
 

We are a family gathering of 8 (all adults). Disembark at 9:00am in Papeete. Depart back to USA about 9pm. Want to do a day trip to Moorea before heading to airport. A few want to visit the Moorea Dolphin Center and several want to cruise around island.

1. Can we rent a 8 passenger van? If so, would it make sense to rent in Papeete vs. Moorea.. Do the ferries always take cars as well as passengers?
2. Have not found the ferry schedule yet. Do they run frequently?
3. Would it be better to rent van including a driver?
