Hi LN, no Dinky lives in the Northern Territory, at Jim's Place, South Stuart Hwy, Alice Springs and you can email him at [email protected] I live in Queensland where its illegal to keep dingos as pets, although we know of some living nearby in the bush that we keep quiet about.

Now I read about Boomer the Kangaroo that likes to go to the pub! Page 3 todays telegraph (whatever did happen to page 3 covergirls?) Oh well now we have beer drinking kangaroos.

Apparently the Comet Inn at Hartlet Vale, west of Sydney. has kangaroo on the menu that leads to some tourists to whispering their order in case Boomer overhears lol

Will this post rival Michi's "Not the Usual Tourist Things to See and Do in Sydney"

Melodie, I did not receive your e-mail, I'll reconact you when I'm passing through San Jose on my way to visit the old folks in Carmel Valley.

Thanks all for anniversatry congtaulations.

If you enjoy Dinky as we certainlty did, you probably want to be held up at the Tully River Crossing by flooding and stop in for a visit w/ Kath Nolan at the Euramo Hotel, another only in Australia experience

Possibly not a good idea to introduce Dinky to Boomer, unless Boomer is one huge roo. Local wildlife keeper (licensed for keeping dingoes) had an unfortunate experience when his hand-reared and totally tame young roo decided to make contact with young and also hand-reared dingo Without going into the gory details, it was end of story for the half-grown roo.

You wild and crazy Australians; probably the only folks who encourage inter species dating

AndrewDavid

You are very funny !

Pat,

Not a bad size, the article is the paper's website with a pic of the roo in question.

AndrewDavid, I just thought I'd let you know that despite all the crocodile warning signs you saw, they are not always heeded. Yesterday, on Normanby River in Cape York a croc attacked a couple fishing in boat on river, he hasn't been seen since and the wife had a terrifying swim back to shore and a 20min drive for help. Today they caught and killed the croc, described on news as "rogue" croc, makes it sound as if other crocs are gentle little things.
