Delta to OZ

Delta began flying to Sydney from LAX on July 1. Has anyone taken this flight? how was it?--the food, the drinks (free alcohol?), the seats' comfort, etc.

I'm talking about Coach class.

I'm very interested in a reply. We're flying Delta in December. When are you leaving fmradio?

I would want to be paid to fly Delta Airlines again - try a non-US airline and do yourself a favour.

I leave Thanksgiving Day, return on Dec. 17. Yours is the first of two replies to my post. The second reply is from some Delta hater ("I would have to be paid to fly Delta..") who hasn't taken the LAX-SYD flight. If any helpful, i.e., informative comments surface, I'll keep you posted.

I'm [email protected]. And you?

Mary

There's a thread on the "Air Travel" board with a couple of comments on Delta LAX-SYD flights, which might be useful for you. Perhaps it's a little early for feedback if they only started this month.

Maybe it is early for feedback on the Delta - Syd flight but why would it be any different from the Atlanta to Honolulu with Delta flight or Atlanta to London Delta flight, same planes, same staff?. Delta is not amongst the top 100 airlines in the World for a very good reason.

Air New Zealand is pretty good.

I'm flying Delta to SYD in Oct. I can't comment on this specific service. However, I have flown to Brazil and Seoul from east coast of US on Delta. Their service is acceptable, not as good as Korean Air or Asiana (other 2 airlines I can comment on). However, Delta is MUCH better than United. Food is about the same as any other US airlines. Seats are OK but again not as roomy as other 2 I mentioned.

Mary, we're leaving 12/3 and returning 12/21. First trip to Australia. We've flown Qantas to Tahiti in the past. Delta's price was irresistible, though.

JYK, would you let us know your opinion after your trip in October?

Bokhara2, thanks for the link.
