Daintree Tour
Which company would you recommend for a Daintree tour? We will be staying two nights at Silky Oaks this December. Thanks!!!!!

Your stay at Silky should include a tour, so you might as well pick Daintree right there at the hotel!

I concur with the above. We stayed at Silky Oaks and thought that the Daintree/CapeTrib tour that was part of our package was outstanding.

You may want to call Silky Oaks and check and see if you have a tour included with your package. We are going for two nights in a few weeks and we do not have a tour included. We have, however, booked a full day tour with David Armbrust while we are there.

Thanks so much. I have booked a tour through Silky Oaks. Sounds like it will be a great tour!

Just returned yesterday. You will LOVE Silky Oaks!!! If you have interest in Australian fauna, you MUST spend the day with David Ambrust. It was the highlight of our 2week vacation!! I heard about him from this BB but the silky oaks has info about him/his tour as well - he also has a website. He takes you on a personal tour of his property, several acres of rainforest. He has a magical relationship with all the animals in the area, has named all the pademelons (small kangaroo), many of the birds. Very enchanting, and you should do this in addition to the daintree tour. In the afternoon he takes you up Mount Lewis, an old logging mountain, for lunch at the convergence of 2 streams, then to the other side of the great dividing range to see the drier part of Queensland.
