Comments on TigerAir

Anyone have experiences with TigerAir? TigerAir has twice changed our flight in Feb. I'm not thrilled about the second change & can get a refund given that it will be over 7 hours later than the originally scheduled flight. Airfares on other airlines now are $50 or more higher (this is for a one way flight) . I'm trying to get a feel for whether TA does this often and then cancels. I saw where they just cancelled flights on Xmas. Any experiences?

Tiger Air constantly cancels flights due to lack of aircraft and crew. It is a low cost carrier and doesn't have other aircraft available for backup.

Run away as fast as you can.

That extra $50 could well save you a lot of grief.

Thanks! I am trying to rearrange the trip to fly on another day when the air fares are more reasonable. Haven't heard back from TA on the refund they will owe me.

Closing the loop on this -- heard back from TigerAir and they will be refunding our air fare. Rearragned our travel so that we fly to Melbourne a day earlier when the air fares were more reasonable.
