Good to know. Hopefully Milford Sound will be better in two weeks (and Dunedin, too, as we receive similar weather). We had the rainiest of days today, and with Elton John performing here tonight the town was packed with visitors. I'm afraid we didn't make a very good impression. Last week was gorgeous down south.
Yes, the drought in Northland is bad. Some farmers are culling stock, reportedly farming families are struggling.
