I will be in Chiang Mai for four days in July. Any hotel recommendations?

was is c.m. in april. stayed at the empress hotel -- great location -- 5 star -- USD$30 per night, single (queen bed) inc. hugh buffet bkft (looked like a wedding banquet!). excellent staff -- even sent e-mails for 20 baht (50 cents) for 5 minutes of on line time! look on internet for diethelm travel in thailand -- they get you the best discount rates on line. happy trails!

<BR>Riverview Lodge is HIGHLY recommended by friends of ours who were there in November. We'll definately be checking it out in person when we go in July.

I spent 5 days at the River View in Chang Mai a few years ago. It was delightful. We were 2 blocks from the Night Bazaar. There was a little tourist office on the corner before you turn into the hotel. We booked our hill tour and elephant rides thru them -was inexpensive then.
