Changing money at Auckland airport

We shall be arriving in Auckland at 5.15 a.m. Will there be banks or money changers open at that time. Thanks

Hi Two Aussies

The BNZ branch which you will see as you head down the terminal toward passport control is open for all flights (If this branch is not open [very rare] then the two branches in the joint arrivals/checkin hall on the ground floor are open). Banks are well signposted within the terminal.

There is also an ATM to your immediate left once you have gone through the frosted glass doors into the arrival hall (After ministry of ag and fish inspection)

twoaussies:

Why not take a bit of NZ cash with you from home?

Airports are notorius for high fees. An ATM would be a better bet or if you take a bit of NZ cash, you can get more once you are in town.

Woodie,

they still charge a fee for that; the best way is just to use the ATM in the airport. (of course, I guess THAT depends on whether your banks' charging you a fee these days)! :0
