Castaway, Tokoriki, or Navini for honeymoon?
 

We are looking to honeymoon in Fiji the beginning of July. All three resorts look great and they all have their pros and cons. I would love to hear feedback on what you all think. Just FYI, the time which we would be there would be kid's week for Tokoriki, so you can't say that they don't allow kids. :) Thank you in advance for your help.

The beginning to the middle of July is the main time for school holidays in Aust so all Fiji resorts (at least those that take kids) will be busy. I"d therefore be going for the smallest - Navini - because it is the quietest of the 3, then Tokoriki. I'd try for Matamanoa over Castaway. FYI I know that Tokoriki is, if not full, then very nearly. We booked for the 1st week of July last week and got one of the last remaining bures. It appears that Fiji is going to be very busy this July with many Aust families going to Fiji rather than Bali. I'd book quickly.

i have been to tokoriki and castaway and loved both resorts but wouldnt go to castaway in the holidays as it will be crawling with kids, when we were at tokoriki there were only a couple of kids......<BR>Tokoriki was my favourite resort of all the ones we have been to (11)

My 5 night experience of Tokoriki was very poor indeed and during our last 4 visits to Fiji since Dec 2001, we have met other disgruntled people who agreed that Tokoriki's beach, food, pool and staff were not of the highest standard for the money they paid. Check out Matamanoa. Good value &amp; no kids.

I would go to Navini and request a bure on the opposite side of the island from the family bures if the kids issue is a concern. There are only 10 bures - 4 on one side and 6 on the other. On the 4 side are three family bures and one honeymoon. There is also a honeymoon bure on the other side - ask for that one if your budget allows $325US for two people per night. Children there seem very well behaved and you can always do candlenight dinners on the beach in front of your bure

I would recommend you invest $10.00 and purchase the DVD, Islands of Paradise..
