Castaway Resort

Hi, Has anyone been to the Castaway Resort in Fiji. My travel agent liked it , but I don't always agree with her recommendations, so would like some feedback. I understand that it is quite large. Thanks!!!

Castaway is one of the oldest resorts in Fiji and is now quite large. I find the bures too close together for comfort (the roofs are touching) and the whole resort quite cramped with everything a bit squashed together. It also accepts day-trippers - who arrive from the mainland on the large ferry mid-morning and then leave mid-afternoon.

Hi, thanks so much for your input. Really appreciate it. Sounds like you are knowledgeable about the resorts in Fiji. Have you ever been to Mantangi or Garden Isle Resort? Thanks again!!

I've not spend much time on the islands up north - only Qamea about 10 years ago. We visit each year either the Mamanucas or yasawa region, but I'm afraid I can't help with either Matangi or garden Island.
