Thanks for the feedback Bokhara. Tends to confirm our feelings that while the range of dining choices here in Canberra is quite good, service standards can be patchy. Suppose it's the same all over, but the suspicion is that most kitchen and nearly all wait staff appear to be students - nothing inherently wrong with that and some do a great job. Haven't been there myself but a family member had an off-putting experience trying to make a phone reservation at the Parlour Room.

Thanks for the info about Pork Barrel - sounds like it will be well worth a visit. Nice to get a trip report about Canberra too. :0)
