Can I get a work visa???
 

I'm having some major problems finding out info on working in Australia as an American. From what I see, our countries don't have an agreeement and it seems near impossible to work there. True?? I see there is a Bunac program, but other than that I don't know. Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks :)

Australia generally works on a tit for tat system i.e. if our lot can't go to you - you can't come here. Having said that I do think there are some ways around that issue and I will get back to you with a possible web-site.

Try this one - I did a google search and there were so many that came up so perhaps you can try that too.... www.google.com.au and I put in work visa for australia in the search words.
There was something else there that I will go and check out too. As for other methods of getting a work visa - a lot of people get in on a Sponsered scheme for their job. So if you are in a work area that has some special need in Australia then all you do is apply for a job and the employer does the rest.

Thanks for the research! Yeah, I just realized that its quite difficult to get a working visa in America, so I can imagine other countries would make it hard for us as well. I checked out that website but don't think that I can get sponsored or qualify via the "point system"..as marketing is probably not a special need :) Either way, I'll keep up the search and if you find any other info I would love to hear. Thanks!

As an American, you have to go through BUNAC.
