camper with baby, and how much for attractions???
 

Hello, was planning to do a month trip from wellington to aukland, starting sep 10th 07.

Wondering if $3000 will be enough for attractions and doing things, there's 2 of us plus our 9 month old bub.

will set aside $1000 for camp sites, $1500 for food, $1000 for fuel, and pre pay the ferry trip. in a 4 berth camper

the 3k will be purely for fun $100 a day?

Also anyone travelled with a 7 month old?

Need help with this one, the wife is not wanting to go, but we have already booked flights. She's worried the baby will limit us to much, and would rather not go and save the money.

I'm confused - are you planning to spend all your time on the North Island? If so, you don't need to worry about the ferry.

Well, the ways in which your baby will limit you will remain the same for YEARS. Go now. And then go back in 15 years.

We did the camper thing with our 3 year old last December. We could do most of the hikes, etc. But for thrill seeking you will have to take turns.

The holiday parks are very nice for the most part, so keeping baby clean shouldn't be a worry. Some even had children's rooms with very clean bathtubs.

Yes, $100 a day fun should be enough, unless you want to bungie or something.

If you have a month, are you sure you aren't going to see the south island too? It was stunning.

And, it would have been great. But things have changed just a little. Since its our honeymoon, baby sam will stay with the grandparents.

And the trip will be Christchurch Arrive on the 10th sep depart 17th from chc.. Just a quick trip..
