Bus/Train form Port Douglas to Airlie Beach
 

Hello! We are three friends travelling in Australia and New Zealand this december/january. We are trying to do a lot by public transport, and are desperately trying to find an overnight bus from Port Douglas to Airlie Beach... We would so appreciate any help in finding our way from A-B!

The closest railway station to Port Douglas is at Cairns, the nearest to Airlie Beach is Proserpine, so you'd have to find coach/bus transfers at both ends if taking train.

Greyhound buses leave from Cairns city to Airlie Beach, check www.greyhound.com.au for timetables/fares. There is no public bus service Port Douglas-Cairns, you'll need to use a local private company. BTS is one, AU$29pp www.PortDouglasBUS.com for departure times.
