BRUNCH IN SYD
NEED A GREAT SUNDAY BRUNCH IN MARCH AND WHAT TO DO AFTER -HAVE 4 HRS. BETWEEN LAYOVER IN SYD -
THANKS |
Does 4 hours mean 4 hours between flights which would bring it down to about 2 hours when you take in getting off and being checked in for the next flight?
|
As LizF said, only 2 hrs between flights, I would opt for somewhere close to the airport, say, Brighton Le Sands, in one of their restaurants overlooking the water. This suburb of Sydney is extremely close to the Airport, in fact, whilst eating and looking at the Bay, you can also watch the jets landing on the airstrips which extends into the bay.
|
Whoops, I was also going to say, that when we lived in Sydney, and had relatives in between flights, with a few hours to spare, this is where we took them. Sometimes to dine, or picnic further along the bay, with the swim thrown in, if time permitted it.
|
If you do have the time to go downtown, I highly recommend Pavilion on the Park across the street from the NSW Art Gallery. We did a Sunday brunch there a couple years ago that was just perfect. Excellent food and service with a beautiful view.

If you take tropo's suggestion I believe Boathouse is very good. You won't have time for Pavilion on the Park unless your circumstances change. Cheers!
