Brisbane & Noosa Accom

Hi, we have 2 nights each in Brisbane and Noosa and are looking for nice, convenient accom for around AU$130 per night.

Any tips?

For Noosa, convenient means Hastings Street. In that price range you could try the Noosa Village Motel, otherwise look in Noosaville or Noosa Junction.

David, when are you travelling? We're going in April and noticed that rates skyrocket as Easter and drop somewhat after that weekend.

We are travelling in early Feb - we just need a base in Noosa so we may go for the Halse Lodge which is more of a guesthouse/hostel - any Fodorites stayed there?

In Brisbane I have found a good rate for the Royal on the Park - any thoughts?

Haven't stayed there, but Halse Lodge is a backpacker's hostel. It is convenient, though - next to the bus stop and right between Hastings St and the national park. Do you really want to stay in a dorm?

Try www.australianaccom.com

The Regency motel in Noosaville is a good bet, it will be the most reasonably priced and better than Halse. The motel is right on the Noosa river and has easy access to Hastings Street. No air conditioning though.
