Bora Bora Homeymoon

Hello All! My fiance and I are now in the midst of trying to plan honeymoon to Bora Bora, from NYC. We don't even know where to start. We are looking to go at the end of June 2012 for 2 weeks, more or less. We have narrowed it down to the Hilton or the Intercontinental. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Good booking site with all your hotels and reviews. Priceline.com will have great packages also Orbitz.com
Might shop those 2 based on budget they can also save on air
usually.Hilton for me pick up their usually better pricepoints
than ihg.com unless you get a sale. But they are all fine.

Congrats!

Qwovadis-Thank you! Have you stayed at either one of these resorts, or can you suggest another? I am hearing mixed reviews also about the length of time. Some people are saying that 2 weeks is too long and my fiance and I will be bored by the middle of week number two? Is two weeks too long?

I would also suggest Costco Travel and contacting a local travel agent that is familiar with the islands. Our travel agent was Tiffany with South Seas Adventures. We booked our honeymoon for the Intercontinental Thalasso and our package includes breakfast and dinner. We are going for 8 nights. Soo excited! We liked the IC Thalasso b/c I've heard they have the best views and the shallower water around the bungalows.

You will have the most amazing honeymoon in Bora Bora. It is such a special place. I would recommend the Intercontinental over the Hilton.
I have stayed at both and prefer the Intercontinental by far. There are 2 intercontinental resorts. There is the Intercontinental Thalasso, which is on a motu over looking Mt Otemanu, and there is the intercontinental Le Moana which is at the southern point of the main island near Matira Beach. When you are an intercontinental guest, you can use the facilities of both the resorts.
The Thalasso is bigger and newer. The Le moana is more island style and intimate. The breakfast at the thalasso is the best breakfast I have ever had in my life. All the food we ate at both Intercontinental resorts was good. In comparison, the food at the Hilton was erratic and by the end of the week we were so over it. The service at the Intercontinental Thalasso was far better.
have a look at this website because it will help you plan your whole honeymoon www.boraboraislandguide.com

Hi! My husband and I had our honeymoon in Moorea and Bora Bora in October. We stayed at the four seasons in bora bora. You are going to love Bora Bora!!! It is so amazing and so beautiful. We left from NJ and flew to LA and then LA to Papeete Tahiti. By the time we got there we had to spend the night and then got up early for a morning flight to moorea for 5 days then bora bora for 5 days. The flights were easy. I can't really help with the hotel part, but i can tell you that you will have the most amazing experiences on your honeymoon because it is so romantic and magical there. ENjoy it!!!
