Best tour company for Milford Sound
 

I know everyone has their favorites, but please tell me why you chose the tour company you did & if you would choose them again.

We'll be staying in Te Anau & will have a car with us so will be most likely drive to the sound ourselves unless you can give us a good reason for us taking a tour directly from Te Anau.

We've taken Milford cruises on Real Journeys, Red Boat and Mitre Peak.

We liked Real Journeys the least and Mitre Peak the best.

Smaller boat, fewer people, although that's due in part to us taking the last cruise of the day, when Milford was practically deserted. There were only a dozen or so people onboard - loved it, mind you this was off season.

The boats all cruise the same sound, so it really comes down to your personal preferences regarding boat size and sailing times.
