Best resort in Fiji?

What are the best resorts in the the South Pacific? Price does not matter. I'm looking for a romantic, beach getaway for the Millenium. Would appreciate it if you could e-mail me ideas.

Thank you.

Depends on what you're looking for; Singular dining, group dining, diving or snorkeling preference, deep sea fishing, very private accommodations, etc.
Money being no object, I can vouch for Turtle Island and Namale. Namale's honeymoon bure, Nanise, being the most romantic place I have ever stayed, excellent food & from what I heard from other guest, good diving. We snorkel & I can't say it is an optimum place for that. Turtle is top notch but more of a group feeling (breakfast served together on the beach) though you can arrange private beach lunches & secluded dinner dining spots. We are considering several places for next May, among them, Vatulele, Matagi, Wayaka Club & Kaimbu (the most secluded & expensive but unfortunately closed right now due to a divorce and sale with no date for reopening). There are many other places less expensive with beautiful settings & great watersports. Again, it just depends on you preferences. Don't know about Millenium availability at this date though & the prices will be much higher. Good Luck.

Turtle Island is remarkable! From ourtstanding accommodations, food, and ambiance to the most remarkable staff my fiance and I have ever encountered. Turtle brings together 14 couples from all over the world and instantly creates lasting friendships and a peaceful retreat. Although it is pricey ($1,400 per couple for Grand Bure - lovely!)you will never regret a single penny spent...in fact, you will most likely open your checkbook to the community and staff funds when you experience the unparalled service and hospitality the staff put forth. My fiance and I were so impressed that we are returning to Fiji for our Honeymoon...less than 6 months later...that says something! Good luck!

Don't forget that Fiji experienced the worst flooding in history in Feb. We were there shortly after and boy was it a mess. They had to airlift people out of the resorts. So if you are going there, be sure to check out if they have been able to clean it up.

I was in Nadi in May and there was nothing around to indicate that it had been 4 feet under water. Things are cleaned up.

Since price does not matter this is easy. It is the tops in Fiji. See http://www.vatulele.com. They still have millenium space left for a minimun of 5 day stay at $968 US per day for two all inclusive except for diving plus $969 for New Years Eve. Also they can help you find air space to Fiji. Hurry and book now or you will find it almost impossible to get there.
