Ayers Rock hotels

Does anyone know the best (cheapest!) way to book the Outback Pioneer in Ayers Rock? There are lots of hotel booking sights out there, so can anyone recommend a site they may have used to book this hotel?

There's just the one company that runs all accommodation options there from campground, Pioneer Lodge hostel style accomodation and apartments etc.

It looks like www.wotif.com may come in a little cheaper (than the Red Centre Sale - 3 Night Package~ at $$660) if you are willing to stay a minimum of three nights after April 1st.

Bushranger, do you agree?

Oops!

Too many $$$ in my previous post, but, then again, that's to be expected at the rock, isn't it?

Suppose it depends on whether you're looking at hotel or lodge and when.
But always possible that something like wotif can come up with savings but then if you leave it too late you might just miss out on something being available in budget range so if you're happy to resort to a tent!

Thanks, I only looked at the Jordan photos (I'm headed there, plus Syria and Lebanon in May). Great photos of Petra -- I hope to capture much of the same.

wrong thread, obviously -- that's what happens when you open multiple windows, as I do with the new unwieldy forum

Gabriella - if you are thinking of staying in the hostel section of the Outback Pioneer then you can book via the YHA website:

http://www.yha.com.au/

$36 a night in a dorm unless you are a YHA member, in which case you get a $3.60 discount per night.

Cheers.

Thanks for the tips. Wotif does seem to have a better rate.
