Australia - Specific Information

Hello everyone. This is a great communication forum.

I work as a Travel Consultant and I live IN Australia, so if anyone requires any specific information (Australia, etc) I would be more than happy to help you out.

Please email me. Thanks. Adam.

Hello Adam. Thanks for your message there, I am looking at touring Australia sometime this year. I am particularly looking at Far North Queensland, what do you suggest please?

Thanks.

Adam Ryan Feb 25th, 2000 03:42 AM

Thanks for your comments James, I am glad to see people read these posts!

I suggest flying into Cairns and to hire a car or transfer (bus / coach) to Port Douglas, or one of the Northern beaches which are spectacular, and most within 1 hours drive from Cairns city.

If you are into adventure activities, the opportunities are endless in North Queensland. You can cruise to the outer Barrier Reef, White Water Raft, Hot Air Balloon, etc, etc....

If you want more suggestions just ask me, I love to help out potential visitors to our great country of Australia....

Adam.

Thanks for your offer of help, Adam. My sister and I (65-70 yrs) are thinking of at least a one-month trip to Australia.
We would like to see as much of it east to west, and north to south as possible.
What would your suggestions be?

Thanks very much. Clarene

Hi Adam, I've got a question about my passport. I am a Canadian citizen & I will be travelling to Australia from late April until May 16th. My passport expires on June 6, 2000. I've been told by my sister that my passport has to be valid for min 6 months after my scheduled return date. Is this correct?
Thanks!
Carolyn

Hi Adam,
We'll be traveling in the Port Douglas area in September after the Olympics. Any suggestions on where to stay? We don't want a high level resort -- we prefer quality small inns or B&Bs.
Thanks, Pam

Pam Mar 7th, 2000 01:52 PM

Adam,
Is there white water rafting near Port Douglas? Any recommendations on outfitters?

Kim Mar 14th, 2000 07:33 AM

Hi Adam,
We are going to Australia for our honeymoon in November. We are going to lizard island for a week, the Daintree rainforest for 4 days, Ayers rock for 3 days, and Sydney/Blue mountains for 4-5 days. We would like to go to one more place. We are debating Tasmania, Kangaroo Island and Philip island. Can you make a recommendation? Can you help me with my travel arragements or recommend someone that can?
Thank you.
Kim
Hi Adam. I'll be flying from U.S. to Singapore for business then flying to Melbourne. I read on the internet that I will need a VISA??? How do I go about getting one? Thanks

Nicole Wiese Apr 2nd, 2000 07:54 AM

Hi Adam. My fiance and I are planning a three week honeymoon to Australia. We are currently considering Melbourne, the reef, and possibly Tasmania or Sydney. We are operating on a budget and would appreciate any recommendations that you may have on where to go.

Jeanette Apr 2nd, 2000 08:50 AM

Adam- We're off in a few days to Port Douglas for a week. There are 3 of us in our family- our son is 8 years old. What are your top three choices of trips to take there? Top three restaurants? Do you think the smaller boats are more fun then the big quicksilver? Then we are off to Melbourne for a week- what are your top three choices for things to do and restaurants? Thanks- J

Grace Apr 3rd, 2000 08:48 PM

Hi Kim, this isn't Adam but you asked whether you should go to Tasmania, Kangaroo Island or Phillip Island. Forget Phillip Island, it is okay for a day trip but not much else there. Tasmania is lovely, lots of great natural scenery and historical towns, great B&B's. Kangaroo Island is for those who love nature.
Have fun.

My fiance and I are traveling to Australia for our December honeymoon. We are interested in staying a couple days at the Great Barrier Reef. We would like to spend a couple days in Sydney as well. Everything sounds so wonderful and we are trying to figure out where to fly into. Is Sydney the place to start?

Alyssa Apr 20th, 2000 08:06 PM
