Australia, New Zealand and Pacific photos
So many of us have had travel plans cancelled or disrupted and the continual, ever-changing news on coronavirus is depressing and scary. Here are some photos of Australia which I hope gives some cheer to the travelling community and also offers temptation to visit Australia, when the time is right...
Feel free to add photos from your Australian trips (New Zealand and Pacific too!) or maybe just where you live, by the coast or inland. |
From a trip to Kingscliff, northern NSW coast, and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is held every September and is hugely popular. Toowoomba is about 2 hours drive inland from Brisbane.

Thank you for transporting me to a country I love so much. Please stay safe.

Some lovely photos of the gardens. We live in Toowoomba and along with everyone, we are wondering when this will end. After cancelling our trip to France ( leaving on April 2nd ), we did think we might pack up the camper. But I think we will just sit at home and dream.

Thanks for the comments.
rhon, we had trip plans for New York and shelved them. Then I thought, well Plan B could be Western Australia. Now Plan C is my couch. |
This is wonderful for a bit of armchair travel!

I know how it is KayF. In most years, I would have something planned for May or June, but I didn't given work demands every four years. Still holding out hope for a late-November trip though. Anyway, want to share some of my favorite 'scapes of Australia with you too.

Lovely photos. We do have a wonderful country.

Awww... quokkas!!!

Thanks for the photos tripplanner101, especially the Pinnacles. We've been to the west before but want to explore more. It's such a big state and the distances can be daunting. Quokkas are incredibly cute, aren't they? Need to go back to Rottnest...
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fod...6e010e92d7.jpg Brisbane city, taken from the Story Bridge. You can walk across any time for free or pay to do the bridge climb. Views are great either way. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fod...f18821eeb1.jpg I love these old buildings, they have so much character. This is in Fortitude Valley, walking distance from the city or five mins by bus. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fod...f4fb4ccec9.jpg A possum spotted on an early morning walk in inner-city Brisbane. |

Fantastic photos! Keep them coming, we need something to make us smile.
Kookaburras always look so intelligent, beautiful birds. But my favourite is the galah, such a pretty, comical bird. Kay |
Kay - I so miss the maggies. Love their songs.
