AUSTRALIA IN NOVEMBER

We have won a trip for two to Sydney for one week in November (hotel included). We were able to extend this trip of a lifetime for three days. Since this is not much time, we really want to make the most of it. As we will be in Sydney for a full week, we would like to spend the three extra days outside of Sydney proper. Any recommendations?

If you want to do a city how about Melbourne?<BR>
Or the Gold Coast?

One of the beach towns further north would be nice in November. I recommend Byron Bay in NSW or anywhere in Queensland.

Hello

At the end of November beginng of December last year I spent 4 weeks working in SYDNEY.
The best place to go out of Sydney are the Blue Mountains, including the ZIG ZAG railway and the great Caves. That`s a tour of about 500 km.

Cheers thomas

Hello. We had a nice trip in Sydney last year, and found a trip to Blue Mountain and an overnight stay in Gold coast essential and a must. Enjor your trip.

To Joanne for your extra 3 days I would suggest you hire a car and travel to Canberra, the capital of Australia. It is approximately 300 Km away and takes about 3 hours. 4 lane freeway almost all the way. Canberra has fabulous attractions and November is a great time with the temperature around 25 to 30C. Accomodation will also be fairly cheap.

To the person who was looking at local food in Sydney. Sydney is a large city of nearly 4 million. It has thousands of places to eat. It is difficult to know would be classed as local but seafood is great and Australia has the best beef and lamb in the world at the best prices.
