Apartment for two weeks in Sydney

We are going to be in Sydney for about 2 weeks in July. We are two adults and a ten year old. We will be visiting UTS, so would prefer something not to far from there. I think the place we stayed when we visited 9 years ago was on Kent and Bathurst, but has since changed ownership. I was in a bit of a fog on that visit, because we had our then 9 month old with us. Things will be better this time!

Any suggestions on good apartment/hotels, or apartments you may have had experience with?

Thanks!

Meriton on Kent is a popular choice, if you want to be close to Chinatown.

The Chippendale area has become a vibrant food & arts area, so you might like to explore some other apartments that would be closer to UTS & Chippendale / Ultimo.

You will be amazed at how much it has changed in the last 10 years.

Some of my family use The Adina in Chippendale with their two boys (10 & 7) & like it.

Booking.com is a good resource for others that might suit you.

Here's a couple of links about Chippendale that may interest you

On accommodation: it may be worthwhile to have a look at Airbnb, too.

Hope you have a great time. It's a lovely time to be here & no doubt you'll have fun showing your 10 year old around. Powerhouse Museum will be a good spot for him to explore.

Our 7 & 10's are addicted to the Australian Museum on College street, also. They think Cockatoo Island is very cool ( you'll just miss the Biennale, I think)- and of course no visit to Sydney is complete without a ferry trip or 6 :)

Time Out & What's on in Sydney will have events etc for the time you're here.

Thank you so much for all the ideas! I will check them out.

Oaks Goldsbrough have nice apartments in Darling Harbour. Some have a sea view and opening windows. We liked the Darling Harbour area rather than staying right in the city.
