Alice Spring&Uluru-lodging suggestions wanted.
We are 4 active 50-somethings, staying 2 days in Alice Springs & 2 days in Uluru next March.
We are asking for lodging suggestions in the moderate-to-expensive range.Any additional ideas on tours or dining also appreciated. Thanks in advance! |
At Uluru you won't have any problem finding accommodation in the (moderate to) expensive range. :(

We stayed at the Aurora Alice Springs this past February. It was okay, maybe a little too basic. Air conditioning needed work. Convenient in-town location. Lots of restaurants within walking distance at the Todd Mall. |
Alice is rather seedy. look for something outside of town.
All the acommodation at Uluru is run by one operation and there's little to choose between them in terms of location or service. |
Try Camel to breakfast tour. You are picked up at your hotel and taken to ride a camel to breakfast. My sister did it last spring and found it delightful. Camels are tame and don't spit. I am planning to do it in November this year. Available on the internet. Cameltobreakfasttour.com.au
